2025 Golf Outing Brings ABC Members Together

On June 5th, more than 150 ABC SEMI members gathered at Fieldstone Golf Club in Auburn Hills for our annual Golf Outing—a day of friendly competition, networking and plenty of laughs.

This year’s event brought together contractors, industry partners and supporters from across southeast Michigan for 18 holes on one of the area’s premier public courses. Fieldstone’s beautiful fairways and challenging greens provided the perfect backdrop for members to strengthen connections and build new relationships in a relaxed setting.

The golf cannon allowed golfers to buy their spot on the green and launch a ball within 5 feet of the hole.

Despite a few scattered clouds, spirits stayed high as foursomes teed off early and kept the course buzzing throughout the day. Sponsors and volunteers helped make the event a success, with SWAG tents, refreshments and contests adding to the fun.

After wrapping up on the course, golfers gathered at the clubhouse for a well-earned dinner, prize give aways and plenty of stories about the day’s best (and worst!) shots.

“Our annual golf outing is one of our favorite ways to bring members together outside of the job site,” said Kelly Frederick, ABC SEMI marketing and event manager. “It’s about camaraderie, building stronger business relationships and celebrating the people who keep our industry moving forward.”

Independence Commercial Construction’s team staying all smiles on the course.

After 18 holes, the top team of the day emerged victorious: congratulations to Trevor Hamilton, Teresa King, Matt Martinec and Pat Nagel with VTC Insurance for earning bragging rights until next year! Individual honors also went to Owen Kipke with Cunningham-Limp for his impressive longest drive, and Scott Lunn with Deeply Rooted for nailing the closest to the pin shot.

Off the fairways, golfers recharged at well-stocked beverage carts and hole sponsor stations, where giveaways and good-natured banter kept spirits high.

Bryan Baker with Merlo Construction noted that the relaxed setting offered a welcome chance to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new industry partners outside the busy job site or office.

“It’s always a great day when you’re doing business on the course,” Baker said. “Despite the weather the Merlo team always enjoys the people we can meet over a little friendly competition.”

ABC SEMI extends sincere thanks to everyone who participated, as well as to our generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers who make this event possible year after year.

We can’t wait to see everyone back on the course next summer!
